Evocative is all about empowering businesses and organisations to establish and communicate their story. Creating that story is the process of discovering, establishing and refining what the true purpose and mission of an organisation is—which is then worked and designed into every aspect of the branding and communications. Below are some of the various projects we’ve worked on with our clients.
This photoshoot was done in conjunction with Bean Brewding, once again for the trendy North Hem furniture website 'Be Inspired' section.
After the success of the first coffee shop photoshoot for furniture website Jason Agustina, I had the pleasure of undertaking a second shoot—this time at one of Brisbane's landmark coffee locations, Blue Sky Coffee at Newstead.
When looking at SEE's communications, we focused not as much on the machines but the actual beneficial outcome for both operators and society in general. By taking this approach SMART Environmental Equipment’s vision became: 'to create a more sustainable future for generations to come'. After undertaking a video and photoshoot, we created a website and interactive company capability statement.
Welding Wizard is a new local Brisbane business that does mobile welding, MIG, TIG and arc welding, plus other fabrication and repairs. Armed with the business idea and a name, Evocative then started looking at some branding elements—including a logo design—to help get Welding Wizard off the ground and into the marketplace.
I had the privilege of being invited to do a photoshoot at Alex and Heather's sensational coffee shop and café, Extraction Artisan Coffee at Slacks Creek. The shoot was to be used in conjunction with an article being written by my buddies from Bean Brewding for the new Jason Agustina furniture website.
One of the great things about running a small business is having the opportunity and capability to help those in need. So when my fellow Edgeware classmate and client approached me about doing some branding for her charity campaign, I of course jumped at the chance.
The Launch Lifestyle Club is a brand new Queensland startup business. Evocative worked on the branding for this exciting new concept, starting with the logo design.
ARC is a luxury hairdressing salon in Racecourse Road Ascot that incorporates a coffee, tea, drinks and wine bar. After an initial photoshoot late last year, owner Gary Gillespie has since done an amazing job giving the whole salon a more refined and modern appearance.
I had the privilege to work on designing the cover and CD artwork for Amy Michaels and the Good Time Girls' debut album—a project that involved cracking out the coloured pencils to create some custom illustrations.
A project Evocative worked on was a brand refresh for Top Cat Computers. Top Cat already had a logo that works quite well, but their branding previously consisted of a black background and a clumsy all-caps type font. So the main objectives of this project were to modernise the look and feel of the brand while adding additional content to the website and undertake a photoshoot of product images.
Ruth has been one of my more interesting clients, requiring a logo, branding, business card and photography for her stage character 'Ashley X'. What began as a casual briefing session and chat at the Cleanskin Coffee Co. coffee and roasting house, turned into a fun and most enjoyable project with a great result!
How do you make choosing a headlight globe easier through the use of visual communication? Answer: by rethinking how the consumer makes their buying decision, and then making that choice easier through use of shape, colour and design. This was a project I undertook while working in an in-house role alongside the sales and product development team.
This is a selection of work my wife and I have done over the past ten-plus years, in various in-house marketing, advertising agency, and design roles. Clients we've worked with include Lanotec, Robinson Partners, Sirromet Wines, Wonderest, OneTest, Telstra, Working Wonders (Royal Children's Hospital Foundation), Mack Trucks, MiniMovers, Samford Hotel, V Australia, various Audi Centres, VISA, Stockland, and Britax Automotive.
What can we say? The theme for the night was 'raunchy and risqué burlesque', which seemed to suit the venue of Jupiter's Casino on the Gold Coast. Red and black table linen complemented by large purple feathers as table centrepieces set a distinctive colour mood for the evening.
What an amazing and unique venue. Nothing says big trucks more than an actual working quarry! Complete with large mining vehicles and machinery, the backdrop to the company Mack Truck launch was a dramatic cliff face that completed the tough, rugged feel of the event.
After the private launch of the new Mack Truck range, we were privileged to be invited back by Tony Noble to photograph the official public launch at Suncorp Piazza South Bank in Brisbane. The Piazza was transformed into a classy venue complete with chrome bulldog table centrepieces.
We photographed this very elegant and tastefully set room at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. The table settings, decorations and lighting were all done in a mixture of complementing colours, various textures and transparencies ... all held together with by a large hanging centrepiece that had fabrics and fairy lights radiating out to create a dramatic effect.
The Retravision Gala Dinner followed on from the National conference and tradeshow that was held at the Gold Coast Convention Centre. The theme was Carnival and there was everything from dancing girls to card readers and various performers and musicians!
The Sirromet Wine and Food Festival is always an enjoyable weekend. Hosted on the grounds of the winery estate at Mount Cotton, the sunshine mixed with the amazing outlook makes it a great venue.
